Procurement Analyst

Location: Hybrid to Manchester (ideally 1-2 days per week)

We are seeking a Procurement Analyst to provide analytical support to the global procurement team and wider business stakeholders while progressively improving the quality, efficiency, and automation of procurement analytics through the use of modern tools and techniques.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical support to Procurement and stakeholders, including spend, market, supplier, and opportunity analysis, along with business cases and tender evaluation
  • Develop and deliver reports, dashboards, and data visualisations to support decision-making and stakeholder engagement
  • Support procurement systems (e.g. purchase orders, contracts, spend tools), including maintenance, training, and user support
  • Contribute to cross-functional procurement initiatives (e.g. supplier evaluations, supply chain diversity, social value) and identify opportunities to improve processes through automation and analytics
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, respond to queries, and provide training and guidance to team members
  • Support governance, controls, and general procurement administration, escalating issues where necessary and assisting leadership as required

Skills, Experience & Knowledge

  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel and data manipulation skills (including modelling, PivotTables, and structured analysis)
  • Proficiency in Power BI and data visualisation, with a keen interest in data, technology, and AI-enabled analytics
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Methodical problem-solver with the ability to work independently, exercise judgement, and escalate when needed
  • Effective communicator and team player with strong stakeholder engagement, adaptability, and time management skills

Desirable

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial analytics roles, ideally as a Procurement Analyst
  • Strong data visualisation, presentation, and influencing skills with the ability to engage global stakeholders
  • Familiarity with procurement tools and systems (e.g. spend analysis tools, P2P systems)
  • Relevant degree or professional certification (e.g. CIPS)
  • Exposure to automation and AI-enabled analytics tools
